REGISTRATION FOR NON-CREDIT & ENRICHMENT CLASSES (COMMUNITY EDUCATION)
Registration for most classes is ongoing until class begins or is filled. Some classes do have registration deadlines, so please honor these deadlines. It is important to register early so that classes will have the required minimum number of students so that they can be held. Registration can be done in the following methods:
In Person: Come to the Guernsey Outreach Office at Guernsey Sunrise High School. Office hours are 8:00-12:00 and 12:30-4:00 pm Monday-Thursday, and by appointment on Friday, but please call 307-836-2736 before visiting the office, as hours will vary at times.
Call Our Office: Call 836-2736 to register. Please have all information available and ready when you call. Payment is due within 3 days of your call or your registration will be withdrawn.
Mail: Please enclose payment with your registration. Make checks payable to Platte Co. SD #2. Mail your registration to:
Guernsey Outreach Center
P.O. Box 189
Guernsey, WY 82214
E-Mail: Registration information or questions can be emailed to gheimbuck@plt2.k12.wy.us. Again, payment is expected within 3 days of registering.
Register online: Go to ewc.wy.edu/guernsey and under Guernsey Outreach Menu, click on Online Registration form.
Refund Policy: Sometimes you aren’t able to attend a class that you’ve registered for. You must notify our office TWO WORKING DAYS before the class begins to cancel registration and arrange a refund. Please be aware that there are some classes that have non-refundable deposits. Failure to attend is NOT cancellation. If you have any questions, please call 836-2736.
Class Cancellations: Classes occasionally get cancelled due to insufficient registration or some unforeseen circumstances. If a class is cancelled, all fees are refunded to you. The decision to cancel a class is usually made a week before the class starts, so register early to prevent cancellations. Recruit your friends.
Class Suggestions: We are always looking for new ideas for classes or activities to offer. If you have any ideas for classes in enrichment, professional growth, or continuing education please call 836-2736 and we will see what we can develop with our sources at EWC and in the community.
Senior Citizens: You may receive a discount on some non-credit and enrichment classes. Senior Citizens are Platte Co. residents 60 and over.
Eastern Wyoming College will admit all persons who are residents of the State of Wyoming, and 60 years of age or older, to enroll without tuition charges in any credit courses offered by Eastern Wyoming College. Seniors are expected to pay for fees, books and materials for each class in which they enroll.
The Guernsey Outreach course brochures are published twice a year and distributed by U.S. mail. Brochures are also available by calling the Outreach Center or at various locations in Guernsey and Hartville.
